Being close to patients in critical moments: Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe deploys new Terminal Management System from CHERRY
Munich, September 26, 2024 - Cherry Digital Health announces the successful introduction of the new Terminal Management System (TMS) at Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe. At a time of increasing complexity in the management of IT components and an increasing level of digitalization, the CHERRY TMS provides an efficient solution to support critical processes in the patient workflow and ensure optimal use of components within the overall IT infrastructure in hospitals and care facilities.
CHERRY TMS provides a complete overview of all installed eHealth card terminals in real time. The platform is also particularly scalable, making it ideal for use in large hospitals, care facilities and rehabilitation clinics - both inpatient and outpatient.
Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe is one of the first customers to benefit from CHERRY TMS. An efficient organizational structure and patient-centered care are at the heart of Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe's work. To ensure this, efficient IT management is essential. In collaboration with Johanniter Bundes-IT-Services, employees at the facilities are now being provided with an eHealth platform in the form of CHERRY TMS to support them in their work. The ability to perform routine tasks remotely and continuously monitor system statuses, even in complex IT environments, means that CHERRY TMS significantly reduces the workload of IT departments. It thus ensures that the components used always work optimally and trouble-free without the need for technical staff to be on site. This increased efficiency makes a significant contribution to maintaining patient proximity at critical moments.
The use of the CHERRY TMS results in these significant advantages:
- User and operator friendliness: An intuitive user interface makes it easier to use and reduces the amount of training required by IT staff.
- Network-based configuration: CHERRY terminals or terminals with a remote interface can be configured largely via the network. This simplifies administration considerably.
- SMC-B activation: After a connection is lost, the SMC-B (Security Module Card Type B) can be automatically reactivated.
- Multi-client capability: It is possible to create clients and sub-clients. Multi-client capability is particularly useful for facilities with several locations.
- A coordinated overall system consisting of TMS, gSMC-KT cards and card terminals enables transparent and efficient management.
- Reporting: The CHERRY TMS provides a comprehensive overview of the status and constellations of the company's own KTs, e.g. for generating internal statistics.
Oliver Söhnel, Project Portfolio Manager at Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe, emphasizes: âThe CHERRY TMS is a valuable addition for us. The user-friendliness and support for all terminals make the system particularly attractive. In addition, the network-based configuration enables efficient administration and saves us a lot of time, which we can invest directly in the care of our patients and residents.â
Gerrit Schick, Managing Director of Cherry Digital Health, adds: âWe are delighted that the new TMS has been so well received and that we can offer our customers this product enhancement. In order to provide our partners with the best possible support, we will continue to focus on further developments, such as integration with existing connector management systems. We are certain that the TMS will open up many new possibilities for the Johanniter and support their work efficiently.â
With this cooperation, Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe and Cherry Digital Health GmbH are setting an example for the future-oriented optimization of the IT infrastructure in healthcare facilities and thus contributing to improving patient care and increasing efficiency.
