Cherry Group Receives Two German Innovation Awards 2024 for Pioneering Hygienic Computing Technology

The CHERRY STREAM PROTECT and the AK-PMH3 Medical Mouse have been awarded with two prestigious German Innovation Awards.

Munich, May 15, 2024 – Double award for CHERRY and Active Key, the specialist provider of hygienic keyboards and mice in the CHERRY Group: The CHERRY STREAM PROTECT and the AK-PMH3 Medical Mouse have been awarded with two prestigious German Innovation Awards for their pioneering technology and contribution to improving hygiene in sensitive environments such as clinics, medical practices, laboratories, educational institutions and shared office environments.

The German Innovation Award is presented annually and honors products and solutions that stand out due to their unique added value compared to previous solutions. The CHERRY STREAM PROTECT provides hygienic protection in public administration, educational institutions, schools and universities, and shared office environments. The AK-PMH3 Medical Mouse is specially designed for use in the medical sector, where strict hygiene requirements apply. Both devices are high-touch items with a high risk of spreading pathogens. CHERRY STREAM PROTECT results from an innovative collaboration between CHERRY and Active Key. The keyboard has a PROTECT membrane that fits seamlessly over the keyboard like a second skin, providing precise protection against dust, bacteria, and viruses. This makes it easy to wipe and disinfect the device from all sides. The AK-PMH3 Medical Mouse from Active Key offers the highest ergonomic standards, is fully sealed and equipped with a flat, covered blue light sensor. This guarantees precise and smooth cursor control even on shiny surfaces and enables thorough disinfection.
