Berlin, March 27, 2025 – CHERRY Digital Health has received official provider approval from gematik for the CHERRY SmartLink system. This means the solution is now available to pharmacies that want to offer their customers a simple and secure way to redeem e-prescriptions directly via electronic health card (eGK) and smartphone.

With an entry price of just €0.36 per token (i.e., redemption code for an e-prescription), CHERRY SmartLink currently offers the most attractive pricing model on the market – all while maintaining certified security and easy integration into existing systems.

“We’re providing pharmacies with a future-proof tool to participate in the e-prescription market – simple, efficient, and at the best price, with the aim of significantly driving market momentum,” says Dr. Philip Groth, Managing Director of CHERRY Digital Health GmbH.

Application partner DoctorBox is already relying on CHERRY’s technology: with the new app APO360, the SmartLink system is directly integrated into pharmacy operations.
“We’ve launched APO360 to give pharmacies a unique opportunity to digitize their customer relationships. Starting with the digital acquisition of doctor-prescribed medications in the pharmacy, patients can use the pharmacy’s own app to manage their medication – complete with preset medication reminders, inventory tracking, and repeat prescription requests,” says Julian Maar, Managing Director of DoctorBox GmbH.

CHERRY SmartLink is available now and can be easily combined with existing TI (telematics infrastructure) components – such as the already approved TI Messenger.
